CHSE Hosts Special Assembly on Artificial Intelligence in Education Featuring Mohamed Jailam

The Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) marked the UN International Day of Education with a special assembly led by Mohamed Jailam, CEO of Javaabu and co-founder of DhivehiGPT. The session, titled "Artificial Intelligence in Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation," drew a full hall of students and educators eager to understand how rapidly evolving technologies are reshaping the educational landscape.

Jailam delivered an in-depth presentation covering key topics such as the role of AI in modern classrooms, the rise of Artificial General Intelligence, and the importance of safeguarding human decision-making as automation becomes increasingly integrated into daily life. He also highlighted emerging global trends, practical classroom applications, and new developments in AI that are influencing both learning and future careers.

The talk sparked strong engagement among CHSE students, many of whom participated in interactive Q&A segments exploring how AI can amplify learning rather than replace human teachers. Educators noted that the session provided a timely and relevant exploration of how technology can be used to enhance teaching effectiveness and support student success.

CHSE expressed formal gratitude to Jailam for delivering what they described as an insightful and inspiring session. The school also emphasized the significance of welcoming back an alumnus who is actively shaping the national AI ecosystem and contributing to the future of digital education in the Maldives.
