Javaabu continued its active role in national digital development in early October 2024 through multiple contributions to the National Cyber Security Awareness Month. The events were organised by the National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) and Cybersafe Maldives and brought together experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss the future of secure and responsible technology adoption in the Maldives.
On 7 October, CEO Mohamed Jailam took part in a panel discussion on AI and smart technologies at the National AI and Cyber Security Awareness Symposium. The session explored how intelligent systems are reshaping public services, business operations, and everyday life, while highlighting the need for clear governance and safe adoption practices as AI tools become more integrated into society.
The following day, Jailam delivered a talk on AI-driven solutions for next-generation data privacy and governance. His presentation examined how AI can strengthen security, improve regulatory compliance, and support more resilient digital infrastructure across government and industry. He also emphasized the importance of developing local expertise and building frameworks that allow communities to benefit from AI without compromising privacy and trust.
Javaabu's engagement across both sessions reflects the company’s growing role in shaping national conversations around emerging technologies. By contributing technical expertise and practical insights, the team continues to support efforts to strengthen cybersecurity, promote responsible AI use, and prepare the Maldives for an increasingly digital future.
