Javaabu Delivers Multi-Island AI and Digital Skills Training Across GA. Maamendhoo and HA. Uligan as Part of CSR Programme

Javaabu carried out a series of AI-focused professional development workshops across multiple islands in the Maldives, strengthening digital literacy among teachers, island councils, and community staff. The multi-day initiative formed part of the company's ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme aimed at expanding AI awareness nationwide.

AI Training in GA. Maamendhoo

In GA. Maamendhoo, Javaabu conducted AI workshops for both the Island Council and the local school, led by Mohamed Jailam, CEO of Javaabu, and Naffah Abdulla Rasheed, Full-stack Developer. The sessions introduced participants to foundational AI concepts, practical applications in community governance and education, and methods for responsibly integrating AI tools into daily operations.

A notable highlight was that the evening council workshop was delivered in the Huvadhoo Dialect, ensuring accessibility and cultural relevance for local participants. Attendees engaged with demonstrations, interactive discussions, and examples of AI-assisted workflows designed to support decision-making, administrative tasks, and educational processes.

Workshops in HA. Uligan

Simultaneously in the North, Javaabu held a professional development session for teachers of Ha. Uligamu School. An additional AI awareness session was also held for the students of the school as well. Further, another professional development session was conducted for the staff of the Secretariat of the Uligam Council. The trainings were facilitated by Arushad Ahmed, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), together with Farish Fathuhulla, Junior Full-stack Developer. The programme focused on using AI in the workplace to enhance productivity, streamline public services, and strengthen digital readiness within local governance structures.

Advancing AI Literacy Nationwide

Across all sessions, Javaabu emphasised the importance of equipping both educators and council staff with the confidence and knowledge required to navigate the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The workshops highlighted how AI can support administrative efficiency, improve classroom learning, and enhance community-level service delivery.

Javaabu reaffirmed that these training programmes are a central component of its CSR commitment — ensuring that AI literacy, responsible technological adoption, and digital empowerment reach communities across the Maldives, regardless of region or scale.
