Javaabu has announced a major new release of its open source Laravel package, javaabu/efaas-socialite, introducing version 3.5 with full compatibility with the National Centre for Information Technology’s eFaas Documentation version 2.2.
The update brings a range of new features and improvements aimed at strengthening authentication workflows and session handling for systems integrating with the national eFaas platform. Among the additions are support for both front-channel and back-channel logout, improved handling of user profile photos, and enhanced ID token verification with session ID extraction.
The release also introduces a dedicated session handler for saving and retrieving session IDs, along with session state verification to improve reliability and security. Javaabu noted that a new configuration file has been included to simplify setup and customization for developers.
According to the company, the package has undergone full unit testing to ensure compatibility with Laravel 6.0 and above, as well as PHP version 7.4 and newer. These updates are intended to make the package more robust and production-ready for government and enterprise applications that rely on eFaas integration.
Javaabu stated that the release reflects its continued commitment to contributing to the open source ecosystem and supporting national digital infrastructure through well-maintained, standards-compliant software tools.
