Javaabu Meets IDB Delegation to Discuss Challenges in the Maldivian Tech Industry

A delegation from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) met with Javaabu Pvt Ltd today to engage in discussions on the current landscape, issues, and challenges faced by the Maldivian technology sector.

During the meeting, Javaabu’s leadership provided insights into key industry barriers, including limitations in technical capacity development, access to resources, infrastructural constraints, and opportunities for enabling youth participation in the tech ecosystem. The dialogue also highlighted the need for broader institutional support to further strengthen the national digital economy.

The IDB delegation expressed interest in understanding the ground-level challenges encountered by local tech companies and emphasized the importance of fostering innovation, digital skills, and sustainable technological growth across the Maldives.
