Javaabu Restores Maldivian Red Crescent’s Online Donation System Following Technical Outage

Javaabu announced that it has successfully restored the Maldivian Red Crescent’s (MRC) online donation system, which had unexpectedly gone offline after recent server upgrades. The platform, originally developed by Javaabu’s co-founders as the company’s first major project in 2015, had been operating reliably for years without significant issues.

The outage was discovered when the Javaabu team reviewed past COVID-19–related projects and noticed that MRC’s donation portal was no longer accessible. After reaching out to the Red Crescent, Javaabu was granted access to investigate and resolve the technical problem.

The team has now fully restored the donation system, ensuring the public can once again contribute to MRC’s ongoing humanitarian efforts—especially critical during the pandemic.
