Javaabu Signs MoU with Blind and Visually Impaired Society of Maldives to Advance Accessible AI Solutions

Javaabu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Blind and Visually Impaired Society of Maldives (BVISM), marking a significant step forward in expanding accessible technology across the country. The agreement forms part of Javaabu's ongoing CSR initiatives focused on inclusivity and digital empowerment.

Under this partnership, BVISM's administrative team will receive free access to the DhivehiGPT platform, enabling them to leverage advanced AI capabilities for day-to-day operations. This includes large-language-model assistance, speech-to-text (ASR), text-to-speech (TTS), and OCR tools designed to reduce administrative barriers and support accessible communication.

The initiative aims to enhance independence, streamline workflows, and provide technology-driven support for the blind and visually impaired community in the Maldives. By integrating AI into accessibility efforts, the collaboration reinforces a shared commitment to building a more inclusive digital ecosystem.

Javaabu noted that this MoU represents a meaningful step toward ensuring equitable access to emerging technologies, paving the way for a smarter and more inclusive future.
