Javaabu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ghiyasuddin International School (GIS) to become an official partner in the school's Work Experience Programme. The agreement was formalised during a ceremony where Mohamed Jailam, CEO of Javaabu, presented placement letters to two GIS students who will begin their work experience at the company under the new initiative.
Through this partnership, students from Grade 8 and Grade 9 will have the opportunity to gain direct exposure to real-world technology development. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, including the creation of cutting-edge AI models and job-shadowing sessions with Javaabu's researchers and engineers. The collaboration aims to inspire young learners, nurture early technical talent, and introduce students to the practical realities of working in the Maldives' growing tech sector.
Javaabu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to support the next generation of innovators and highlighted the programme as an important step in strengthening industry–school collaboration. GIS representatives also noted the value of providing students with authentic work-based learning experiences that align with emerging national priorities in digital transformation.
The partnership underscores both organisations' commitment to fostering youth development, cultivating STEM interest, and expanding pathways for future careers in AI and technology.
