Javaabu launches open-source Thaana WordPress plugin, featured across multiple local news outlets

Javaabu has released its “Javaabu Thaana” WordPress plugin as an open-source project, enabling anyone to easily add Thaana language support to any RTL-compatible WordPress theme. The plugin is now publicly available for free through Javaabu’s official GitHub repository.

The launch comes as part of Javaabu’s effort to make web development in the Dhivehi language more accessible to individuals, developers, and organisations across the Maldives. In addition to the plugin itself, Javaabu has encouraged users to join their WordPress Web Development Course to learn how to build websites without coding.

The release of the Javaabu Thaana plugin received widespread attention and was featured in several Maldivian news outlets, including Mihaaru, Dhuvas, Dhiyares, and Technews.mv, highlighting the tool’s contribution to promoting Dhivehi-language digital content creation.
