Javaabu concludes another Training Thursday with sessions on gradient descent and open-source tooling

Malé, Maldives, August 15, 2024 Javaabu wrapped up another productive week of its ongoing Training Thursdays programme, an internal learning initiative designed to strengthen technical skills across the team. This week’s session featured two focused presentations led by the company’s engineering team.

Machine Learning Research Engineer Yameen conducted an engaging workshop on matrix arithmetic and introduced the team to the fundamentals of Gradient Descent, one of the core optimisation techniques used in modern machine learning. The session included a hands-on exercise that helped participants better understand how models learn and adjust parameters during training.

Following this, CTO Arushad Ahmed showcased Javaabu’s newly developed open-source Laravel statistics package, demonstrating its features and practical use cases for developers. The package is part of Javaabu’s broader commitment to contributing useful tools to the open-source community.
