Javaabu Academy signs MoU with Bridging the Communities Maldives to empower women through ICT training

Javaabu Academy has signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding with Bridging the Communities Maldives (BCM) to support women’s empowerment by strengthening their ICT skills and digital literacy.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Javaabu Academy by Managing Director Mohamed Jailam, and on behalf of BCM by Director Fathimath Saudhath. Through this partnership, Javaabu Academy will conduct a series of training programmes and information sessions aimed at helping women gain confidence and practical skills in using digital tools and technology.

As part of the initiative, Javaabu Academy has already begun delivering sessions that cover topics such as Microsoft Office tips for work efficiency, using mobile phones for productivity and business, and developing essential digital skills to support both personal and professional growth. The training is being held under the “Technology Training Programme for Women,” supported by FIDS.

Both organisations expressed their commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for women by increasing access to technology and ensuring that participants can apply their new skills in real-life situations.
