Javaabu Engages Youth with an AI and Machine Learning Session at YEP Program

Malé, Maldives, October 19, 2024 Javaabu delivered an engaging introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for young participants at the Youth Empowerment Program organised by Al Asr. The session was led by CEO Mohamed Jailam and CTO Arushad Ahmed, who shared practical insights on how AI is shaping modern industries and the skills young people need to be part of this transformation.

The presenters walked the audience through the fundamentals of AI, the evolution of large language models and the global landscape of leading AI platforms. The session also highlighted the relevance of AI skills for future careers, including opportunities in software development, machine learning engineering, data analysis and digital entrepreneurship.

Alongside demonstrations and a guided discussion, the team encouraged participants to explore how AI can be used to solve real problems in Maldivian communities. Attendees asked questions about model training, ethical considerations, job readiness and how they can begin learning AI with accessible online tools.

The session received strong participation from students who were eager to understand how emerging technologies are reshaping the modern workplace. The organisers described the event as a valuable opportunity to inspire youth towards STEM education and future-focused skill development.
