Community e-Center Web Portal “Vevu” Launched by NCIT

The National Center for Information Technology (NCIT) has officially launched “Vevu”, a new Community e-Center Web Portal developed by Javaabu to strengthen digital access and public service connectivity across the Maldives.

The Vevu portal is designed to support island community e-Centers by centralizing resources, services, and operational tools into a unified digital platform. The system aims to improve service delivery, streamline administration, and enhance the overall effectiveness of community technology hubs nationwide.

Javaabu noted that the launch marks an important step in advancing digital inclusion efforts, enabling communities—especially in remote islands—to access essential information and online services more efficiently.

The portal is now live and operational, representing a key milestone in Javaabu’s continuing collaboration with government agencies to elevate national ICT infrastructure.
