Mohamed Jailam

Mohamed Jailam is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Javaabu Pvt Ltd, and one of the Maldives’ most respected technology leaders. With over a decade of experience driving digital transformation across both the public and private sectors, he plays a central role in shaping Javaabu’s vision, product strategy, and long-term growth.

Jailam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the Maldives National University (MNU) and a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of the West of England (UWE). In recognition of his contributions to the national technology ecosystem, he was awarded the National Youth Award in the area of Business and Economy in 2022, and in 2025, received the National Award of Recognition in the Information and Communication Technology Sector – Computer Software and Software Application Development, conferred by the President of the Maldives.

At Javaabu, Jailam is deeply involved in product strategy, business development, and project management, frequently working hands-on with teams and clients to ensure solutions are technically robust, user-focused, and aligned with organizational goals. His work bridges software engineering, policy advisory, and capacity building, enabling institutions to modernize operations and deliver impactful digital services.

Jailam has a strong personal interest in Generative AI and emerging technologies, and has been actively involved in AI research and development initiatives at Javaabu. He is a prominent advocate for responsible AI adoption in the Maldives, regularly conducting trainings and public awareness sessions on the future of AI in society and the workplace.

He is also a dedicated educator. Through Javaabu Academy, Jailam conducts regular professional courses in Artificial Intelligence, coding, video production, and graphic design, and has personally taught over 1,000 students. His training work spans the private sector, education institutions, and government bodies, with a strong focus on building practical, future-ready digital skills.

Prior to founding Javaabu, Jailam worked in administration and broadcasting, where he developed a strong multidisciplinary foundation. He brings hands-on experience in video production, graphic design, and 3D modelling, which continues to inform Javaabu’s emphasis on design-driven, user-centric digital products.

Beyond his professional and academic work, Jailam is a frequent contributor to AI, technology, and digital transformation podcasts, panels, and public discussions across the Maldives. Through Javaabu’s extensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, he has led and supported numerous AI and digital literacy workshops, particularly for the education and government sectors, and has collaborated with multiple NGOs to develop impactful digital products under CSR programs.
