Abdul Matheen Mohamed

Matheen is a Junior Full-Stack Developer at Javaabu and the youngest and newest member of the engineering team, having joined the company in 2025. He represents the next generation of technology talent, balancing professional responsibilities with his academic pursuits as a full-time university student.

Matheen is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Software Engineering at Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia, and works remotely with the Javaabu team. As a recipient of the Maldives President’s Scholarship, he is recognized for his strong academic performance and potential. Javaabu works closely with Matheen to ensure a flexible and supportive arrangement that allows him to gain real-world industry experience while maintaining focus on his studies.

Although still in the early stages of his professional career, Matheen has already accumulated over two years of industry experience. Prior to joining Javaabu, he worked as a Developer Intern at the Maldives Pension Office, where he developed a job portal named Workopia, designed to manage and publish job openings. He has also contributed to volunteer web development projects for local youth NGOs, reflecting an early commitment to using technology for social impact.

At Javaabu, Matheen has contributed to multiple client and internal projects, working closely with designers and senior developers to translate UI designs into fully functional, production-ready code. His technical experience spans PHP, JavaScript, Python, and MySQL, with a growing foundation in the Laravel framework.

Matheen is known for his strong learning mindset, actively seeking guidance from Javaabu’s senior engineers and continuously refining his understanding of software development best practices. In addition to his technical skills, he is fluent in Arabic, adding a unique linguistic dimension to the team’s diverse capabilities.

Through academic excellence, early professional experience, and a clear drive to grow, Matheen is steadily building a strong foundation as a future leader in software engineering within Javaabu’s development team.
