Javaabu Academy and Ilm NGO Conduct Free Community Training Sessions in L. Fonadhoo
Javaabu Academy, in collaboration with Ilm NGO, conducted a series of free community training sessions in L. Fonadhoo from July 16 to 18, 2026.
Ilm NGO is a community organization based in Laamu Atoll, working on awareness programmes, religious awareness, youth engagement, and community development initiatives.
The programme included four sessions open to the general public and youth free of charge. The sessions were facilitated by Javaabu Co-Founder and CEO Mohamed Jailam, who leads regular training programmes through Javaabu Academy in areas including artificial intelligence, coding, video production, and graphic design.

The AI sessions introduced participants to the basics of artificial intelligence, practical use cases, common AI tools, and DhivehiGPT, Javaabu’s Dhivehi artificial intelligence platform. Discussions focused on how emerging technologies can support learning, work, communication, and everyday productivity.
The app development workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of building digital products, while the content creation workshop focused on practical approaches to creating engaging digital content.
Through Javaabu Academy, Javaabu continues to support digital literacy, AI awareness, and practical technology education for communities across the Maldives.
Javaabu extends sincere appreciation to Ilm NGO for the collaboration and for their continued efforts to create meaningful learning opportunities for the community in Laamu Atoll.
