Javaabu Hosts Online AI Training for Health Ministry Staff Across the Islands

Javaabu conducted a three-hour online training session on “AI for Efficiency” for staff of the Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare on July 15, 2026.

The session was held as part of Javaabu’s ongoing partnership with the Civil Service Commission of the Maldives and marked the eighth training session delivered under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Javaabu and the Civil Service Commission.

Around 130 staff members joined the online session from different offices under the Ministry, including health centres and hospitals across different atolls.

The training was facilitated by Javaabu Co-Founder and CEO Mohamed Jailam, who introduced participants to practical ways artificial intelligence can be used to improve workplace efficiency and support day-to-day responsibilities.

The session covered commonly used AI tools and explored how they can help reduce repetitive work, support drafting and research, improve productivity, and enable staff to work more effectively across different administrative and service delivery contexts.

Participants were also introduced to DhivehiGPT, Javaabu’s Dhivehi artificial intelligence platform, with a focus on how Dhivehi-language AI tools can support communication, content creation, and other local-language tasks in the workplace.

Through the programme, Javaabu continues to support AI literacy, workforce capacity building, and digital transformation across the Maldives’ public sector, including staff serving communities outside Malé.
