Javaabu facilitated an artificial intelligence training session for staff of the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade on October 3, 2026, under its ongoing collaboration with the Civil Service Commission of the Maldives.
The session was held as part of the Civil Service Monthly Special Programme for the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade. The programme covered Service Excellence, Ethical Workplace Culture, and AI Basics for Efficiency, providing participants with practical knowledge and tools to strengthen their professional capabilities and contribute to a more effective and modern public service.
The final session of the programme, “AI Basics for Efficiency,” was conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Civil Service Training Hall in Malé and was facilitated by Javaabu Co-Founder and CEO Mohamed Jailam.
This marked the eleventh session delivered under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Javaabu and the Civil Service Commission, in partnership with the Civil Service Training Institute.
During the session, participants were introduced to commonly used AI tools and practical ways artificial intelligence can be applied to improve workplace efficiency. The session focused on helping civil servants use AI to support everyday tasks, strengthen productivity, and enhance public service delivery.
The training also covered DhivehiGPT, Javaabu’s Dhivehi artificial intelligence platform, highlighting how local-language AI tools can support Dhivehi-language communication, drafting, and other workplace tasks.
At the completion of the programme, Jailam handed out certificates to the participants, marking the successful conclusion of the Civil Service Monthly Special Programme for the Ministry.
Through its continued partnership with the Civil Service Commission and the Civil Service Training Institute, Javaabu remains committed to supporting AI literacy, workforce capacity building, and digital transformation across the Maldives’ public sector.
