Javaabu Facilitates AI Session for Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation

Javaabu facilitated an artificial intelligence training session for staff of the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation on August 16, 2026, as part of the Civil Service Monthly Special Programme conducted under its collaboration with the Civil Service Commission of the Maldives.

The session was held at the Ministry as part of the Civil Service Monthly Special Programme for the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, taking place from August 16 to 18, 2026. The three-day programme features sessions on AI Basics for Efficiency, Ethical Workplace Culture, and Service Excellence.

The programme was inaugurated with opening remarks by State Minister Mohamed Ibrahim, followed by the first session, “AI Basics for Efficiency,” facilitated by Javaabu Co-Founder and CEO Mohamed Jailam.

This marked the ninth session delivered under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Javaabu and the Civil Service Commission. The programme aims to strengthen AI literacy among civil servants and support the practical use of AI tools across government institutions.

During the session, participants were introduced to commonly used AI tools and practical ways artificial intelligence can be applied to improve workplace efficiency and productivity. The session focused on helping staff understand how AI can support daily tasks and contribute to more effective public service delivery.

The training also covered DhivehiGPT, Javaabu’s Dhivehi artificial intelligence platform, highlighting how local-language AI tools can support Dhivehi-language communication, drafting, and other workplace tasks.

Javaabu continues to support AI literacy and digital transformation across the public sector through its partnership with the Civil Service Commission. Further sessions for additional ministries are expected to continue in the coming months.
