Javaabu CEO Mohamed Jailam participated as a facilitator at Lakusana 2026, a multi-day community event organized by Peace Foundation NGO, held from April 20 to April 24, 2026, in M. Dhiggaru.
Peace Foundation, a non-governmental organization established in 2010, is dedicated to fostering a morally grounded and righteous society through education, training, and community engagement. Over the years, the organization has conducted a wide range of initiatives, including youth programs, workshops, and public lectures focused on personal and social development.
Lakusana is one of the foundation’s flagship events, bringing together scholars, educators, and community members in a serene island setting. The 2026 edition featured 72 diverse activities aimed at knowledge sharing, spiritual growth, and community building.
As part of the program, Jailam conducted three dedicated sessions focused on the practical and ethical applications of artificial intelligence. These sessions were tailored to different audiences, ensuring accessibility and relevance across age groups and professional backgrounds.
AI for Youth – covering general use cases, productivity tools, and the ethical use of AI
AI for Education – conducted for teachers of M. Dhiggaru School, focusing on integrating AI into teaching and learning practices
AI for Business – demonstrating how businesses can build applications using modern “vibe coding” tools
Across all sessions, participants were introduced to widely used AI tools as well as DhivehiGPT, Javaabu’s Dhivehi-first AI platform. The sessions emphasized practical adoption while maintaining responsible and ethical usage aligned with community values.
Jailam’s participation highlighted Javaabu’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities across the Maldives through accessible technology and education. By engaging directly with youth, educators, and local businesses, the sessions aimed to bridge the gap between emerging technologies and real-world applications.
Javaabu extends its appreciation to Peace Foundation for organizing Lakusana 2026 and providing a platform to share knowledge and inspire innovation within island communities.
